On Thursday the final part of #NAWM exhibition was opened at the Barber Institute in Birmingham. The event was preceded by a lively afternoon of discourse and debate regarding the state of art education. Proceedings were led by artist and educator Jason.E.Bowman who introduced talks by the 3 selectors of the exhibition Linda Morris, Keith Piper and Jeremy Millar. More about this in a future post.
Prizewinners were announced and it gives me great pleasure to say that Rafal Zar deservedly took first prize, with Myself and Corey Hayman joint runners up.
The whole event has been a fantastic opportunity for all of the artists involved, and hopefully provides a springboard to launch from in the future. Im going to blog more about my experiences in a future post.
